Louis Braun GmbH is led by its Managing Director, Louis Braun. After completing his legal training, since 1978 he has held the following positions at several major professional reinsurance companies and a reinsurance broking firm:
• 1978 – 1989 After familiarizing himself with the reinsurance sector in the French market, from 1979 onwards Louis Braun worked as a regional representative for the Netherlands and Eastern Europe at Bayerische Rückversicherungs AG• 1989 – 1993 Manager of all worldwide facultative departments as well as the credit insurance department at Gerling Globale Rückversicherungs-AG
• 1993 – 1995 Manager of worldwide property insurance at Kölnische Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft AG (Cologne Re)
• 1995 – 1998 Managing Director of debis Re Insurance Brokers, a member of the DaimlerChrysler Group
Louis Braun has also participated in numerous working parties and was a member of the "Symposium of Reinsurance Lawyers" for ten years. In the course of his professional career Louis Braun has gathered in-depth experience in highly diverse areas of reinsurance. His far-reaching insights into the working methods and modes of thought of reinsurance companies constitute the basis upon which we design successful reinsurance programmes for our clients.
